TAILORED NECESSITIES
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the sizes shown actually available to order?
Yes. The sizes displayed on a product can be selected and ordered. We confirm final supplier availability after the order is placed and before fulfillment.
Why don't I see a low-stock or sold-out message?
We do not use live supplier quantity counts to limit the storefront. This lets customers select the size they need while we verify final availability on the back end.
When is my payment captured?
Where the selected payment method supports authorization and later capture, we can confirm availability before completing the charge. Some payment methods have their own processing rules, so the exact payment flow shown at checkout applies to your order.
What payment options are available?
The payment methods, installment options, eligibility requirements, and terms available for your order are displayed during checkout. Because payment methods can process authorizations and charges differently, the checkout screen provides the final terms for your selected method.
How should I choose my suit or tuxedo size?
Start with the U.S. jacket size you normally wear. All jackets in this collection are Regular length unless a product specifically states otherwise. The matching trouser waist follows a standard drop 6. For example, a 40 Regular jacket comes with a 34 Waist trouser. Visit our Size & Fit page for the complete chart and guidance.
Can I mix a jacket size with a different trouser size?
No. Suit and tuxedo jackets and trousers are manufactured and sold as matching sets, so the sizes cannot be separated, customized, or mixed and matched. If the included trouser waist is larger than you need, a local tailor may be able to alter the trousers after delivery.
Are the trousers already hemmed?
No. Suit and tuxedo trousers arrive with an unfinished/open bottom so your local tailor can hem them to your preferred length. Tailored Necessities does not perform alterations before shipping.
Will my suit need alterations?
It may. Ready-to-wear suits and tuxedos are made to standard sizing, and alterations such as trouser hemming, sleeve adjustments, waist suppression, or trouser waist adjustments are common for a more personalized fit. Jacket sleeves can typically be shortened, and many styles have some allowance for modest lengthening.
What does the EU size mean?
EU sizing is a manufacturer jacket-size reference used by our fulfillment source. It does not refer to the trouser waist. Use the U.S. jacket and matching trouser-waist information as your primary sizing reference.
How will I know when my order ships?
Once the order has been confirmed and shipped, tracking information will be provided through the contact information used at checkout.
